With all of these skills going, it's very possible for your click DPS to end up being even higher than your auto-DPS for 30 seconds.
#Clicker heroes ancients tier upgrade#
In addition to that, there are activation Skills that you can unlock that will temporarily upgrade clicks even more: Again, I'm sure how any logical mind can see how this might be useful, particularly in a boss fight, right? And I don't even have all Hero Upgrades active yet, in the example pictures. So, right now, 9 percent of my clicks do 15x damage, for an average overall boost of 1.35 times my base damage, or a total of 1.755 quintillion damage per second (at 10/sec) right now, which is ~ 40% of the automatic damage. Abilities that you buy from some of the heroes increase both the crit chance and the crit damage: Critical hits start off with a zero percent chance of happening, and 10x multiplier if they happen. Critical hits can only happen with clicks - either yours or Clickstorm, doesn't matter. In addition to your base click damage, one of the features that you unlock as you progress is crit damage. That alone should show that clicking is worthwhile, right?* But if I'm clicking 10 times per second, that makes my DPS up to 1.3 quintillion - more than 25% of the automatic damage rate. My fighters' automatic damage is 4.3 quintillion, while my click is a "mere" 130 quadrillion. Here's the damage info of the version I've got running here at work, which I reopened just to make this point. The fact is that in addition to the first hero, Cid, there are several skills and several power-ups that keep the clicking valid pretty much throughout the game. Your pseudo-math argument completely fails to realize that clicking isn't a one-to-one thing - you're not making 1 damage per 1 click. Can you imagine 'tagging' every sugar molecule in a mole of sugar, at the rate of multiple moles per second? Can you really imagine that you can click fast enough to make a difference at such rates? Remember Avogadro's number is only 6.02 * 10^23 or so. :-)Ĭurrently I'm on L54, and I'm doing something like 197,900,000,000 (1.97 * 10^11), or ~2 million million Damage Per Second (and that's just tiny, the game gives you the list of numbers, up past 10^23. Thinking that you can click fast enough to make a difference to your -efficiency- is a thought-imbalance, which I'm striving valiantly to correct. If you wind back your 'level' and just fight the L10 boss when you're on L20+, you'll see that the boss is dying multiple times per second (and the play area fills up with lots of useless tiny chunks of gold). There isn't any sane reason to do anything in the game involving 'click faster', because it's an exponential thing, it just happens faster and faster behind the scenes, but the challenges are exponentially more difficult. If you have upgraded your heroes, and got the perks associated with getting to L50/L75/L100 for each one that lets you get there, your heroes click way faster (many orders of magnitude) faster than you can click. Not sure if you meant that about my comment but the sound issue I was talking about is the one of incessant clicking Or that they hate the sound but haven't seen the 'disable sound' toggles in the game. If you have these opinions, that's fine - but please don't crap up the thread by spouting about how they suck, okay? It's not unfair to call these "idle" games, or even declare that these aren't really "games" at all, since the computer does most of the work for you. Unlike the others, there's NO clicking in it at all. Progress Quest, the game that started it all, as far as I know. As pauli has asked that the Clicker Hero discussion be moved out of the Misc thread, and nobody else has bothered to make the thread about it, I'm taking it upon myself to create this thread.įor people who are unaware: There are a bunch of games that have been made where the game starts out with nothing more than clicking to gain points/gold/cookies/whatever, and using those points/gold/cookies/whatever, you buy new things that let the game do the clicking for you.Ĭlicker Heroes, the most recent game of this type.Ĭookie Clicker, one of the best-known of these types of games.Ĭandy Box, one of the first games of this type.Ĭandy Box 2, its much more involved sequel.
